This book is a set of 11 chapters written by different authors. Most of the authors are academic researchers from medicine, genetics, bioinformatics or computer science departments and some of them work for private corporations (Affymetrix, Agilent and GeneGo).
As usual with this type of book with many authors, the orientation, level and content of the chapters are very different. Some aim at presenting the state-of-the-art of the normalization procedures for a given type of microarray, others attempt to study the impact of the
